Securing the Future

Here is some good news for the UPC family. A month ago, we exercised our option to buy the remaining 11 acres from Devonwood Farms. We bought the original 5 acres prior to building our new sanctuary. For the next two years, Devonwood will continue to lease back the property. So, instead of UPC paying for the option each month, we now are receiving rent payments each month. While we are making a mortgage payment on the property, this still is a significant improvement. Our payments are lower and we now own 26 acres of beautiful real estate.

That is not all! Because of the success of the Momentum campaign in the fall, we already have made a significant step towards paying it off. Today, I received an email from our treasurer, Roy Stevens, saying that our balance on the property already has been reduced to $212,000. As Roy said, "God is being good to us and it appears His people are being faithful to their pledges. Lets pray that continues and we can close this down quickly!!!"
